Summer Capsule Additions

If you follow me on insta (MarinaBotros), you would have seen this photo:

For some reason, I've been in a style rut. It is a lot harder than it seems to be in a capsule for the summer when you have to dress business casual for the bulk of the week. I've decided that life is too short to be plain in a capsule! So, I purchased a ton of new pieces to liven up my wardrobe.
Taking into consideration these 1950's looks and current trends; my upcoming capsule outfits are going to be quite the twist from my usual black on black vibes. But who knows, maybe I'll be back to black come autumn.

Trousers:
I've found a couple pairs of pants from my closet years ago that strike me as unforgettable & I want to bring them back into rotation this summer. Bonus: if you follow me on snapchat you would have seen these zara pants when I first got them! I finally got them tailored!

Loft Lace Pants (no luck finding anything similar)

Swing Sleeveless Top:
This item can be dressed up or down depending on the bottoms. I've picked up a couple of these (which you may have seen in my Greece packing list).

Stripe Top:
I stumbled upon these two tops that I literally could wear for the rest of my life.
The Ralph Lauren one is amazing & the Mango one is so unique (photographed with the white gap shorts below)!

High Waisted Shorts:
I purchased this pair of shorts from J.Crew for Greece, but I quickly realized this isn't the pair that will be making it into my capsule. I have a lot of hips & these shorts definitely accentuated that. #nothanks
This pair is more suited to my frame (although they look long on the model, they are significantly shorter if you have any sort of bum).

Black Dress:
I couldn’t find a dress like the one pictured above, anywhere. So I decided to make my own. I'll keep you updated (lol might be the biggest failure of 2017 or might be major success, who knows).

Skirts:
Another way I plan on staying cool during the work week is by wearing a skirt. I have been wearing the Kate Spade number a lot lately & then I just found this one which I think I will get so much use out of. (photographed with the striped top above)
